Dr. Cassandra Zirbel

I feel incredibly lucky to have the ability to form long-term relationships with each of my patients and their families. Because my emphasis is on creating smiles based on a patient’s unique needs, I spend time with each person, learning about who they are and their passions and interests. Over the course of treatment, as I see a patient at each visit, I get to hear about their latest adventures, successes in school or in sports, and what’s been happening in their lives. I look forward to their visits as a chance to not only check up on how their treatment is progressing, but to hear how they’re doing.”
My Story
After high school, I attended the University of Minnesota and majored in physiology and then enrolled at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. This was followed by studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where I was chief resident in orthodontics. Then it was on to the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences for a Master of Science in cellular and structural biology.
I love being part of a field that requires me to be a lifelong student. I am committed to providing the best care to my patients, and this can only be achieved by continuing to learn and expand my skills, through participation in continuing education courses. I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, and I am certified through the American Board of Orthodontics, all of which provide me with access to meetings, lectures, and relevant oral healthcare literature.
I was born in St. Paul, grew up in Cottage Grove, and graduated from Park High School. My husband Justin, myself, our son Rylan and daughter Emmerson now call Woodbury our home. My family is my first priority, and I love spending time with them. Being outdoors is also important to me, whether I am playing a round of golf, fishing, or being on the water. Travel is wonderful, too, as I love to experience new sights, sounds, and cultures.
Our team
Our patients love coming here, because not only does our space feel like a welcoming home, but our staff members are always focused on providing each person with a great visit. We build real relationships here, getting to know each patient and looking forward to their visits as a chance to hear what’s been happening in their lives. From your first visit to your last, you’ll feel like you’re part of our family.
